Terms of Service

By using IELTS Coach, you agree to these Terms of Service with Wisdomwave Hub Ltd. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

IELTS Coach (by Wisdomwave Hub Ltd) provides personalised English and IELTS preparation for Academic and General Training — diagnostics, adaptive study plans, original practice, offline app access, and AI-assisted feedback through Nika.

The service is educational only. IELTS Coach is an independent educational platform operated by Wisdomwave Hub Ltd. IELTS® is jointly owned by the British Council; IDP IELTS; and Cambridge University Press & Assessment. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to IELTS partners unless a separate written partnership exists.

Paid subscriptions provide access to IELTS Coach features only — not to official IELTS test content, exam registration, or results.

IELTS® is jointly owned by the British Council; IDP IELTS; and Cambridge University Press & Assessment. We use the name descriptively to explain that our service prepares candidates for that test.

Official IELTS materials (including sample tests, audio, PDFs, and answer keys) remain the property of the IELTS partners. We do not host, sell, or redistribute official test papers or audio on our servers.

Where we reference official IELTS guidance, we link users to ielts.org and partner sites. You must download official materials yourself and comply with those sites’ terms.

If you import files for local practice on your device, you confirm you obtained them lawfully for personal study and that you will not upload copyrighted exam papers to our servers.

You must provide accurate account information and keep credentials secure.

You are responsible for activity under your account.

We may suspend accounts that violate these terms or abuse the service.

By continuing past onboarding step 2 (choosing your study goal), you agree that:

AI coaching is enabled so Nika can provide chat, tips, and Writing/Speaking feedback. Estimates are for practice only — not official scores or examiner judgments.

Improve Nika is enabled so we may store redacted copies of AI exchanges to train and evaluate our own IELTS tutor. Details and retention are in our Privacy Policy.

These features turn on automatically as part of setup. You can ask support to stop training use or delete stored training data.

Nika’s AI coaching can err. Use feedback to practise — it is not an examiner or official score.

Estimate only — not an official IELTS score. Only an official Test Report Form counts.

Practice banks are original educational materials. We do not host official IELTS exam papers on our servers.

Do not redistribute our content banks. Do not upload copyrighted exam papers to our service.

IELTS Coach is an educational tool for English exam preparation. AI feedback is automated and may contain errors — always verify with official IELTS materials and qualified tutors. IELTS Coach does not guarantee exam results.

Use the app for personal study. Do not attempt to reverse-engineer proprietary content banks or abuse AI quotas.

Do not copy, scrape, redistribute, or commercially exploit official IELTS content through our platform.

Your writing and speaking practice may be processed by AI services to generate feedback. Do not include sensitive personal data you would not want processed by third-party AI providers.

Free access. IELTS Coach provides free access to the vocabulary notebook (/vocabulary), including spaced repetition, personal quizzes, and flashcards. All other study features — including Nika AI tutor, diagnostic assessment, adaptive study plans, original practice across Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking, mock exams, progress tracking, today’s tip, skills lessons, and materials authored by us — require an active IELTS Coach Premium subscription or an active free trial.

We do not sell official IELTS® materials. Premium fees buy access to IELTS Coach only (our platform, original practice content, and AI coaching). They do not include official IELTS sample tests, audio, PDFs, answer keys, exam registration, or official results. Official resources remain on ielts.org and partner sites.

Plans. We offer subscription plans billed every two weeks, monthly, or every three months. Prices are listed in US dollars (USD), euros (EUR), and British pounds (GBP). We automatically select GBP for customers in the United Kingdom, EUR for customers in the European Union and European Economic Area, and USD for all other countries, unless you choose a different listed currency before checkout. Prices are fixed per currency — we do not convert at the payment gateway. Current prices are shown at /pricing and in your Profile before checkout. The quarterly plan is discounted approximately 20% compared to three monthly payments.

Free trial. New subscribers may receive a three (3) day free trial with full Premium access on the two-week plan only. You must provide a valid payment method before the trial starts. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, your chosen plan will be charged automatically when the trial ends. Monthly and three-month plans are charged immediately and do not include a free trial. Each user is entitled to one (1) free trial unless we grant otherwise in writing.

Auto-renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel. You will be charged the then-current price for your plan (minus any applicable discount). After checkout, we or Stripe will email confirmation of your plan, price, billing interval, and how to cancel.

Cancellation. You may cancel at any time from Profile → Manage subscription (Stripe Customer Portal). Cancellation stops future charges. You retain Premium access until the end of the current billing period (or trial), after which your account reverts to free vocabulary-only access. Deleting your account from Profile cancels any Stripe subscription immediately, then erases the account (see Privacy Policy for tax-record retention).

Changing plans. You may change plans from Profile. If you are on a free trial, the new plan replaces the trial plan and bills when the trial ends. If you are on a paid period, the new plan generally starts after your current billing period ends so you keep access you have already paid for. Starting a second overlapping paid subscription while one is active is not supported. Complimentary access granted by us is not a Stripe subscription and is managed separately.

Price changes. We may change subscription prices for future billing periods. We will give you reasonable notice (email or in-app) before a price increase affects your subscription. Continued use after notice constitutes acceptance.

Failed payments. If a payment fails, we may suspend Premium access until payment is resolved. Vocabulary access remains available.

No refunds. Except where required by law, subscription fees are non-refundable. We do not provide refunds or credits for partial billing periods, unused time, downgrades, or failure to use the service.

Statutory rights. Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer that cannot be excluded by law. If paid digital content is not of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose, or as described under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, you may be entitled to repair, replacement, or a price reduction.

EU/UK right of withdrawal. If you are a consumer in the UK or European Economic Area, you normally have a 14-day right to cancel distance contracts. For digital content supplied immediately, you acknowledge and agree that: (1) you request immediate access to IELTS Coach Premium (or trial access) on starting your subscription; and (2) you understand that you lose your right of withdrawal once digital delivery begins (i.e. when Premium or trial access is activated). You confirm this before completing checkout via an explicit consent control.

Chargebacks. Unauthorised chargebacks may result in account suspension. Contact support@nika-ielts.com before disputing a charge.

Nika and AI feedback are automated and may contain errors.

Always verify guidance against official IELTS materials and qualified tutors.

We do not guarantee exam results, visa outcomes, or university admission.

Platform design, Nika character, and original content are owned by Wisdomwave Hub Ltd.

You retain ownership of your writing and recordings. You grant us a licence to process them solely to provide feedback and progress tracking.

IELTS trademarks, logos, and official test content remain the property of the IELTS partners. We do not claim ownership of official IELTS materials.

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access.

Offline features depend on your device storage and prior sync.

We may update or discontinue features with reasonable notice.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the service.

Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us for subscriptions in the twelve (12) months before the claim.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

You may delete your account at any time from Profile settings.

You may cancel a subscription at any time; cancellation stops future renewals. Access typically continues until the end of the current paid period unless stated otherwise at checkout.

We may terminate access for breach of these terms.

Upon termination, server-held data is deleted per our Privacy Policy.

Results and readiness indicators are study aids only. Confirm visa, university, and registration requirements with official sources.

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
